Similar to the recent storm hit the north-west the previous evening, City overwhelmed the visitors away at the Etihad. It was a convincing 3-0 triumph for Andrée Jeglertz’s side owing to goals from Knaak, Shaw and Lauren Hemp. It was a performance that clearly signaled their title credentials as they consolidated their standing at the league summit.

Back-to-Back Defeats for United

This scoreline represented successive Women's Super League losses for Marc Skinner’s side for the first time since last May, placing them a sizable gap off the league leaders with their trophy ambitions hanging by a thread.
